Kennebec Banks Paint Party
This event is open to individuals of all ages! Participants should wear old clothing as the paint we will be using is oil-based, bring gloves, and if they have them, step-ladders. All participants should expect to sign a waiver upon arrival.
Birding at Jackson Woods
Come birding with us on International Migratory Bird Day. We’ll search for warblers and learn about the management changes we are making at Jackson Woods Preserve to benefit grassland nesting birds.

Identify and mark seed-bearing black ash trees for the Somerset Woods Trustees seed collection program
Barn & Timber Workday
Volunteers will either support construction of a subfloor and/or bench for the stewardship work space or move, split (gas wood splitter), and stack wood to support Somerset Woods Share, our community woodbank.

This volunteer event is intended for anyone wanting to engage with a simple construction project. This is a great opportunity for beginners, or someone who just likes to build things. We have space for 6 participants.

We are improving habitat for grassland birds in partnership with Ag Allies, Maine’s grassland bird conservation program. Join us for an afternoon of cutting back hedgerows and burning brush.
