Join us at the Skowhegan Farmers Market for our third annual benefit plant sale. Trustee Ann Dorney will have a variety of perennial seedlings grown with the assistance of students at Skowhegan Area High School. Plant information from Ann

Prices for Plant Sale

  • Purple Cornflower (Echinacea Purpura) $3-$5 depending on size

  • New England Aster $4-$6 depending on size; 2-3 feet tall, pink or purple, likes sun and blooms very late in the season–wonderful for pollinators

  • Foxglove Beardtongue $4; white flowers on a raceme, likes full sun

  • Butterfly weed (limited numbers)$10

  • Great Blue Lobelia $3-$5 depending on size

  • Joe Pye Weed (limited numbers); $10; likes moisture and sun

  • Swamp Milkweed $8 (limited numbers); likes moist and sun

  • Wild Bee Balm  $4 individual plants (also 6 packs)

  • Pearly everlasting ; full sun, host plant for the American Lady and Painted Lady butterfly 6 packs $3

  • White turtlehead (limited numbers) $8; likes part sun to shade and moist

  • Red columbine (our only native columbine) – one of the first things to bloom in the Spring; $4 individual; also 6 packs for $15
