Bluebird Boxes!

  • Parkman Hill Farm 380 Parkman Hill Road Solon, ME, 04979 United States (map)

Help us welcome bluebirds back to Somerset County this spring! Bluebirds compete with other small birds, such as tree swallows, to find suitable nesting sites each spring. This year, Somerset Woods will build and place nest boxes for bluebirds across a handful of our properties, and we want you to as well!

Join Halle for a birdbox building workshop in the red barn at Parkman Hill Farm. Build an Eastern bluebird nesting box for us, then build a box to bring home and install on your own property! This event is open to the public, but advanced registration is required to ensure we have adequate materials prepared. $10 event fee payable at the workshop.

Please bring drills, drivers, and hammers, if you have them. Otherwise, bring a water bottle, warm layers, and your enthusiasm!

Volunteers should meet at the red barn at Parkman Hill Farm, 380 Parkman Hill Rd., Solon 04979.

For more information, email Halle or phone 207-612-1606.

Please register here by Wednesday, March 11.
