Workday at Parkman Hill Farm

  • Parkman Hill Farm 380 Parkman Hill Road Solon, Maine, 04979 United States (map)

Have you ever spent time at Parkman Hill Farm in Solon? Parkman Hill Farm is 650 acres of field and forest on Parkman Hill Road. Not only is it special because of its history in the community, but it has been managed for its wildlife, birds and pollinators for decades! Somerset Woods is fortunate to call the farmhouse on this property our main office, and as some of you may know we have been undergoing some construction and renovations to ensure its sustainable future.

As part of that work, we’ve acquired a roughly used metal shed that will be used for fuel storage moving forward. It’s at the property and ready for its next life… but it needs some TLC. The doors need to be adjusted, and the exterior could use a fresh coat of paint.

We also have a few picnic tables and benches that need a robust coat of stain so we can keep enjoying our outdoor space well into the future.

Join us Monday from 9AM to noon to kick off your Labor Day. Donuts and coffee will be available for a few hours of work, fellowship, and community.
