VOLUNTEER with the Crew: Trail Building Event

  • Wesserunsett Stream Preserve Evergreen Drive Skowhegan, ME, 04976 United States (map)

Somerset Woods Trustees will be working alongside a Maine Conservation Corps Trail Crew to rehabilitate and relocate a portion of the Blue Trail at Wesserunsett Stream Preserve.

We are looking for volunteers who can help establish steps, pack out unused materials, and support trail building. This event is best suited for adults. Participants should expect physical labor with fun but challenging work

Tools and personal protective equipment (such as work gloves and eye-protection) will be provided by Somerset Woods Trustees, although participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have them. All participants should expect to sign a waiver upon arrival.

We ask that all participants RSVP

Directions: From the downtown Skowhegan areas, follow Route 2 to Malbons Mills Road. Take a left onto Malbons Mills, heading northeast. After about a mile, take a right into the neighborhood on Robin Street. Robin Street will turn into Robin Court shortly after the turn; stay on Robin Court. You will then take a right onto Evergreen Drive. Continue down Evergreen Drive until the pavement ends and you see a blue and green "Somerset Woods Trustees" diamond sign. Continue straight to the end of the road. Park alongside the road.
